Perfectly Chilled
A peek into an unforgettable summer, along with a catalogue of buckets, tubs, and some unexpected chillers for your favorite drinks
I’m a summer girl, and this one was one I’ll never forget.
We moved into our new place back in May. A Henry Klumb designed house we’ve spent the past year restoring to its original beauty, while making sure it reflects who we are. We’re in the final touches phase now, which mostly means chasing down workers to actually finish things.
But the big, big news, and the reason this summer will be nearly impossible to top, is that my husband of six years planned a surprise anniversary ceremony and celebration in the most beautiful corner of Tuscany, with our closest friends and family. It was magic. Wild. And I’m still holding tightly to every feeling from that weekend in the midst of everyday life—shock, happiness, all of it.
I’ve started trying to put it all into words (which will for sure fall short), but I can’t wait to share more soon. How he pulled it off, I still can’t fully comprehend. But if you know him, you’re probably not surprised he did :)
When we first talked about what our next house would be like, it wasn’t so much a specific look that we envisioned, but a purpose. This next house would be a party house. And with that comes the need to have an catalogue of accessories and items to support that vision.

As someone who had to break up with red wine last year and venture into the world of whites, I’ve realized something very important: I like my wine mind-numbingly cold. And so I now require a few different versions of stuff to cool our bottles with. Something for weekday single bottle dinners and some for when we’re expecting a crowd. Below, are the ones that have caught my eye.
The Single Bottle – Metals
A variety of shapes and finishes. Something for every table and every style.

The Single Bottle – Glass
Glass is classic and these colors and shapes make them a bit more interesting than your standard fare.

The Dual Bottle – Metal
If you’re in need for something to hold a couple of bottles, I can’t think of better options than these.

The Artful Holders
I love a unique and beautiful take on an otherwise classic component.

The Basins
Something large and beautiful that patinas over time.

The Showstopper
The idea here is having a more permanent fixture in the patio (one less thing to put away) that turns into the bottle corral during parties. These iconic planters have holes in them so placing them somewhere they can drain without causing a mess is essential.

If you’re looking for anything specific, let me know in the comments and if I have something for you, I’ll send it your way!
Paid subscribers always get access to a private link in the Substack chat with even more pieces because I can’t fit everything in here. In this case, there are over 60+ additional bottle chillers to browse.
See you all back here very soon :)

These are splendid.
I don't drink but will for to have any and all of these around the house!
